Outcomes

For many patients, choosing the right surgeon can be a worrying and difficult decision.

All orthopaedic surgeons in the UK are obliged to provide details of their work to the National Joint Registry for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man which are compiled into individual reports for each surgeon.

The report for Mr Webb makes for excellent and reassuring reading as he is one of the top Hip Surgeons in the UK as regards his 10-year results.

This means that very few of his hip replacements suffer complications requiring further operations within 10 years.

He also has excellent recorded patient satisfaction scores for hip replacements. You can read more about Mr Webb’s excellent results on the National Joint Registry website.

Below you will find feedback and testimonials from Jason’s patients and colleagues.

You can also verify Mr Jason Webb, his outcomes and statistics on various third-party websites.

Patient stories

‘Thank you’ is wholly inadequate when it comes to expressing my gratitude for the outstanding care and support you have given me over these many months.
I write to you regarding my wife’s hip replacement. Thanks to your efforts, she is now out of debilitating pain and is progressing pain free. We are both eternally grateful to you.
I get no pain from my hip and can do everything I could have done before. Since the surgery I have returned to kayaking white water at a similar level (Grade 3-4) to before my hip became a problem. I have done around forty white water kayak and canoe trips in the last year. I have walked pretty much all of the hills in the Brecon Beacons National Park and also walked in North Wales, Dartmoor and Scotland. From the early days post op to later when I was walking up a mountain or paddling white water I would say to my wife that I wondered what Mr Webb would think. I am pleased to be able to recount this for Mr Webb. New hip, new life! Thanks.
Hip surgery changed my life. Before my first hip operation I was in constant pain and couldn’t walk more than 250 metres without sticks. I had less than 8 per cent rotation in the joint. Since having both joints replaced, I have climbed my hardest rock climb, ascended some of the most famous north faces in the Alps and pulled sleds up mountains in Alaska. I have skied toured the famous Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt and descended numerous steep off piste couloirs. I run cross country and mountain bike. I am lucky enough to never get any pain from my new hips – indeed I forget they are there. I hang upside down from my heels on overhanging rock climbs and jump onto crash mats from the top of our local climbing wall. My message to anyone suffering from osteoarthritis is that if the pain starts interfering with your life and making you miserable, then don’t be afraid to have surgery. As long as you put the effort into the rehab, you can get brilliant results. Many thanks to you and your team for their fantastic work.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for the the amazing job you guys did on me. I was very reluctant to go through with the procedure because of the finality and fear of it all. And given the fact I felt I was too young at 48. But through the professionalism, skill and genuine care you showed me every step of the way (excuse the pun) it couldn’t have gone better! I realise I’ve still some ways to go but the outcome already far exceeded my expectations. And for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Indeed if , or when , I need the other hip replaced I wouldn’t want anybody else but you to do it for me. Thank you so much.
Thanks for taking on mum and all that you did. I know it’s all routine for you but we are in your debt for helping her. You are a genuinely incredible doctor Jason and we are very grateful.
